TYPE-89 5.56MM - Oversized Sweatshirt

The Howa TYPE-89 is a Japanese assault rifle that was adopted by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) in 1989. It was developed by the Howa Machinery Company in collaboration with the Japanese Ministry of Defense. The rifle was specifically designed to replace the aging TYPE-64 and TYPE-74 rifles in service at the time. It also shares the same 5.56mm NATO magazines used by the popular M4 platform.
